"Some College"
The thing that irked me the most while I was dating (okay, looking for a spouse) was, for some odd reasons, there weren't a lot of men with degrees in Sacramento. :O I see a lot of "some college." Let's examine this, what exactly is "some college"?
Maybe I am being a snob, but I was raised in a culture where ones education and career is VERY important. You might not know why, or what you want to do when you grow up, or if you'll be happy doing it, but you are getting a degree. No question asked. So "some college" is a very novel concept. Okay, I'm sorry, an "associate degree" is not a degree, especially the online ones nowadays. It's a joke. I can say that because I am working on an AA in accounting. Have you ever seen those online site that you can pass their test and have your high school diploma printed? So you do their extremely easy question once. If you missed the answer, they'll show you the answer (multiple choice, of course). And if you fail the test in the end, you can retake it as many times as you need, exactly same questions... in the same order! THAT, my dear, is a joke.
Okay, forget about an AA, at least it's a "real" degree. In the case that it's not even an AA. "Some college" = college dropout. "Some college" tells me that this person can't even get it together to finish a 4-year degree! Mind you it's not that difficult, at least back then, to get into a college in US AND/OR to pass with a C average. After all, I didn't ask to see your college transcript. In short, "some college" tells me that you are a loser. You are better off just putting down "high school graduate." It's almost more respectable.
